Best business card for an online store in Belgium and the Netherlands

In het kort

  • The best card depends on your volume, ad budget and accounting package.
  • Uncapped cashback is often decisive for larger stores.
  • Automated processing of ad invoices is the most underrated factor.

No single card is best for everyone. These are the six criteria that decide it for a Benelux online store.

Criterion 1: cashback and caps

Look past the headline rate to the monthly limit. For a store spending tens of thousands a month, uncapped 1 percent is a very different proposition from capped 2 percent.

Criterion 2: accounting integration

A direct link to Exact Online, Yuki, Moneybird, Teamleader or Twinfield structurally saves hours per month. Without it you export manually and the error rate stays high.

Criterion 3: automated ad-spend processing

Meta, Google and TikTok invoice in blocks that rarely map one to one onto transactions. Providers that handle this automatically remove one of the most tedious monthly tasks.

Criterion 4: receipts and per-employee limits

In-app receipt capture, automatic reminders and per-card limits stop you chasing your team at month end.

Criterion 5: cost and currency

Monthly fee, cost per extra card and the markup on non-euro transactions together define your real cost. If you advertise in dollars, that markup matters a lot.

Criterion 6: Belgium and Netherlands coverage

Not every European provider serves both markets equally well. Check for a local IBAN, local support and VAT-compliant invoicing.
